How to convert time between time zones
Step 1: choose the starting time
Enter a date and time, or press Use current time to fill in the present moment in the From zone. The From zone starts as your device time zone.
Step 2: pick the destination
Select the To zone. The result, its date and the time difference update immediately, so there is no need to press a convert button.
Step 3: check the meeting planner
Scan the 24 hourly boxes. Green means both cities are within 9:00–18:00. Tap a green hour to move your From time there.
Why daylight saving time makes manual conversion risky
Countries start and end DST on different dates, and some, such as India, Japan and China, do not use it at all. A fixed offset like “New York is 5 hours behind London” is only true for part of the year. This tool calculates the offset for the exact date you choose, using the IANA Time Zone Database built into modern browsers. If you pick a clock time that does not exist because clocks jump forward, the tool warns you and shows the nearest valid result.

Tips for scheduling across time zones
Convert the meeting a few weeks ahead and again close to the date, because DST changes can shift the gap by an hour. Put the UTC offset in the invitation, and rotate inconvenient times fairly so one region does not always take the early or late slot.
